Mount Olympus for Non-Hikers: Yes, It Is Possible

Monasteries, gorges, refuges and villages — how to experience the mountain of the gods by car, with short optional walks.

Mount Olympus for Non-Hikers: Yes, It Is Possible

Most people think Mount Olympus is only for mountaineers. In reality, a comfortable car route takes you through some of its most beautiful spots: Litochoro old town, the Stavros refuge viewpoint, the Monastery of Agios Dionysios and finally Prionia at 1,100 metres.

Each stop offers an optional short walk — five minutes to a waterfall, twenty minutes into the gorge — so every member of the family chooses their own level of adventure.

This is exactly the philosophy of our private Olympus tours: maximum scenery, zero obligation to hike, and a local driver who knows where the best light and the best coffee are.
